Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that his country will continue to provide medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but will not sell weapons.

“I want to make it clear that we do not sell weapons to Ukraine. I am the Minister of Defense and I am responsible for the export of Israeli weapons”– Ganz said on the air of the Kol Chai radio station.
Israel’s opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today also spoke out against the supply of arms to Ukraine. In an interview with MSNBC, he said the weapons “could end up in the hands of Iran.”
“On the weapons issue, there’s always the possibility — and it’s happened time and time again — that the weapons that we put up will eventually end up in the hands of Iran and be used against us.”the politician quotes Jerusalem Post.
It will be recalled that the Minister of Diaspora Affairs of Israel, Nahman Shaiya, called to provide Ukraine with the same military assistance that is provided by the USA and NATO.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba announced that Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide air defense systems.
