It became known about the dead and many wounded in the temporarily occupied city of Nova Kakhovka (left bank of the Kherson region), on which a Russian plane dropped a bomb on September 15.
As reported in the press service of the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office, an investigation has been launched into the fact of the tragedy.
“According to the results of monitoring and studying information in the media, under the procedural leadership of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, which is combined with intentional murder – Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the agency said.
According to the investigation, on September 15, around 09:20, the Russian military struck the temporarily occupied town of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, with probably guided aerial bombs.
“Preliminarily, one civilian was killed, at least 12 people were injured,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Currently, law enforcement officers are taking all possible measures to document the crime.
According to some data, an enemy air bomb probably flew into Nova Kakhovka from the Khrestivka district on the left bank of the Kherson region.

The Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine say that a Russian plane, trying to carry out another air strike on Beryslav Oblast, due to its own clumsiness released a guided aerial bomb on Nova Kakhovka. As a result, the KAB-500 hit a residential area. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this is not the first time that Russian aviation has struck places unplanned by the occupiers. For example, Russian pilots accidentally “lost” aerial bombs in the center of the Russian city of Belgorod.
