Since the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, employees of the State Border Service have detained about 6,400 conscripted men for attempting to cross the border illegally.

This is stated on the website DPSU.

“More than 4,000 of these violators were stopped by border guards outside checkpoints. The rest tried to cheat at passport control. There were men who pretended to be women, others tried to hide in vehicles, one even closed the baby box. Many tricksters bought fake documents about the presence of various ailments in themselves or their children, the burial of their wives or the birth of children, there was even a man who, according to the entry in the document, was commissioned due to a difficult childbirth. Trivial attempts to bribe border guards were not unique.”– the message says.

As noted by the DPSU, despite the fact that an attempt to illegally cross the state border is punished administratively, many “evaders” and their assistants resort to related criminal offenses.

It is reported that since the beginning of the full-scale war, about 210 attempts to bribe border guards have been recorded, who refused bribes totaling more than 3.5 million hryvnias. The DPSU reminds that bribing an official is a criminal offense, the responsibility for which is provided for by Article 369 of the Criminal Code.

At the same time, according to the materials of the operative-investigative units of the State Border Service, more than 170 criminal proceedings have been initiated for the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Article 332 of the Criminal Code), almost 470 proceedings for the forgery of documents and the use of forged documents (Article 358 of the Criminal Code), 10 proceedings for evading mobilization (Article 336 of the Criminal Code). More than 400 persons have already been charged with committing these crimes.

We will remind you that in July the Verkhovna Rada expanded the list of those who are not subject to conscription, and some were granted a reprieve.

On July 28, a petition to Zelenskyi with the demand to remove restrictions on travel abroad for men aged 18-60 without military experience received more than 25,000 votes. Now he is obliged to consider it.

The day before, Danilov criticized Ukrainians who submit and sign petitions for men to go abroad.

We will also remind you that on August 1, Zelensky responded to the petition on the ban on issuing summonses at roadblocks, on the street, and at gas stations and instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to comprehensively work out this issue.
