Recently, more than 30 merchant vessels left the ports of Ukraine through the temporary sea corridor.

It is reported Bloomberg.

So, according to journalists, it is about 32 ships with a total carrying capacity of about 1.4 million tons.

This volume is similar to that which was used during transportation in the first month of operation of the corridor established with the support of the UN and Turkey.

“This indicates that Kyiv’s risky bet is more than just symbolic and that it is regaining some control over trade from its Black Sea ports.” – says the publication.

As the data showed, at least nine ships calling at the Black Sea ports of Ukraine were Panamax-type vessels designed to transport grain around the world. This may indicate that some shipowners are willing to take risks by sending larger and more valuable vessels to Ukraine, despite the potential danger.

It will be recalled that the temporary corridors for the exit of merchant ships from the ports were opened in August.

Earlier it was reported that in September it was possible to export 50,000 tons of agricultural products from Black Sea ports using a temporary corridor.
