At the same time, the IEA added that after the introduction of restrictions on oil from Russia, the supply may decrease even more.

At the same time, on Wednesday, October 12, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Oleksiy Sazanov said that Russia may experience a temporary decrease in oil production due to restrictions from Western countries. According to him, it is worth expecting a decrease in small volumes, around 5% in 2023.

Despite this financial result, in September, Russia earned more than the average monthly income in 2021, which was at the level of 14.9 billion dollars, the IEA noted.

A sharp drop in the Russian Federation’s income occurred before the cessation of sea imports of Russian oil to EU countries, which is expected from December 5 for crude oil and from February 5 for petroleum products.

According to Bloomberg, the drop in oil prices affected Russia’s income. In September, the average price of Urals oil fell by 8.7% to $68.65 per barrel.

We will remind that the financial sector of the Russian Federation suffered hundreds of billions of dollars in “direct losses” from sanctions.

Earlier, we reported that the EU wants to postpone price restrictions on Russian oil.

Also, on Thursday, October 6, the European Union officially approved the eighth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

In the article “Word and Deed”, we suggest to mention what sanctions have already been implemented against Russia by the European Union.
