The Russian occupiers in the Zaporizhzhia region were poisoned not by invented chemical weapons, but by low-quality alcoholic beverages, which were consumed beyond measure and in the heat. This is not the first time that Russian officials try to explain their own failures with the machinations of some external forces.

This was written by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak Telegram.

“After carefully studying the official statement of the Ministry of Defense of Russia regarding the poisoning of soldiers of the Russian occupation army in the Ukrainian city of Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, and accusing Ukraine of using chemical weapons (by the way, they speak about this with all seriousness), we can say the following (also seriously): excessive drinking cheap, unlicensed alcohol in 40-degree heat along with expired dry rations can definitely lead to unpredictable consequences” – he noted.

Podolyak added that poisoning is still the best result for the Russian occupier on Ukrainian soil. He also emphasized that no one believes the Russian fables about “chemical weapons”.

It will be recalled that on August 20, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country announced the alleged poisoning of Russian occupation troops in the Zaporizhzhia region with a substance of artificial origin – botulinum toxin was allegedly detected. The occupiers also accused Ukraine of poisoning Volodymyr Saldo, the Gauleiter of the temporarily occupied districts of the Kherson region, with chemical substances.
