Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the Mayor of Košice (Slovakia) Yaroslav Polachek signed the Agreement on establishing partnership relations between the cities.
The event took place today, September 19, as part of the investment forum “Kharkiv: Restart”, it is reported press office city council
Yaroslav Polacek noted that the Slovak Republic supports Ukrainians during the war.
He expressed hope that this agreement will strengthen relations between the cities, promote further cooperation in the fields of culture, education, trade, economy and tourism.
The parties agreed to implement joint projects, support the expansion of direct contacts between representatives of cities and public associations, conduct joint informational, sports and educational events, develop scientific and technical cooperation between enterprises and scientific organizations.
Ihor Terekhov thanked international partners for their support of Kharkiv and Ukraine and emphasized that the development of partnership relations during a full-scale war will help rebuild the city and the country.
