The purpose of the meeting of the so-called “leopard coalition” before the meeting in the Ramstein format will be to convince the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz allow the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

Sources in the British Ministry of Defense said that the Ramstein participants will try to “encourage the Germans” if Berlin does not work out its own solution before that.

Earlier it was reported that on January 20, at a meeting at the Ramstein airbase, the issue of supplying the Armed Forces of Leopard battle tanks will be on the agenda.
