Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova reacted to the fragments of a Russian rocket that fell in the north of the country. Diplomats called the new attacks of the Russian Federation on Ukraine a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

“These attacks, which further exacerbate the security situation, are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting civilians and their infrastructure,” the statement said.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova also criticized the attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. They indicated that this causes enormous economic and social damage to the entire European continent, including the citizens of Moldova, who are suffering the consequences of the war.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns Russia’s use of energy resources as a weapon,” the ministry concluded.
