Modern manifestation of colonialism: Russia deported 230 thousand Ukrainian children to destroy the nation – Ukraine in the UN Security Council

This was stated by Adviser to the Ambassador of Ukraine to the UN Serhiy Dvornyk during a meeting of the Security Council, reports Ukrinform.

“The abduction of at least 230,000 Ukrainian children among the 1.4 million Ukrainians forcibly deported to Russia is a crime aimed at destroying the Ukrainian nation by depriving its younger generations, which is a modern manifestation of colonialism,” he said.

According to him, tens of thousands of civilians were killed and many were injured in rocket and artillery shelling of Ukrainian cities. Almost 220,000 people lost their homes.

The janitor noted that millions of citizens were forced to flee the occupied or war-torn territories. 8 million became internally displaced persons, 6.5 million left Ukraine as refugees.

“We have no doubt that in Russian military strategies, this refugee crisis was envisioned as one of the successful results of the war. As well as the food crisis,” he added.
