The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense believes that anti-war views are growing among the Russian creative intelligentsia, the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate reports. Among the “anti-war” minded artists, the GUR named Morgenstern, who is on the “black list” of the Ministry of Culture.

“The Russian creative intelligentsia is increasingly expressing an openly anti-war position. Their main messages are simple and clear: all contradictions are resolved through dialogue, human life is the highest value, money spent on war should go to the development of education, science and medicine,” it says. in the message.

In particular, the GUR noted that Russian musician Yuri Shevchuk was recently fined on charges of “discrediting the Russian army” for saying at a concert: “Motherland is not the president’s ass.”

Intelligence also showed Shevchuk’s statement at the trial about “non-acceptance of the war as such”, in particular the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The GUR believes that Andrey Makarevich, Boris Grebenshchikov, Zemfira Ramazanova, Little Big, Morgenstern, Maxim Pokrovsky and others “disambiguously spoke out against the war.”
