On the morning of August 8, the enemy struck the Shevchenkiv district of Kharkiv with the Uragan salvo fire system. A 63-year-old civilian died, a 68-year-old man was taken to the hospital in a moderate condition.
Powerful explosions were heard around 10:30. According to preliminary data, the Russians hit the territory near a residential building, as a result of the shell explosion, a Nissan car caught fire. A Ford car was also damaged – the windshield and doors were broken by debris.
According to the head of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region, police general of the third rank Volodymyr Tymoshko, on August 8, the occupiers shelled the Shevchenkiv district of Kharkiv with the Uragan salvo fire system. Most of the cassettes did not rupture, but 3-4 cassettes did. As a result of the flights, one man died. He lived in a neighboring house. At the time of arrival, the man from Kharkiv was on the street, going to the supermarket. The deceased left two children. Another civilian was taken to the hospital in a moderate condition.
“For the last day, the occupiers have been shelling the Kyiv district of the city from the Pion artillery installation. Projectiles of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system hit the village of Pechenygi at night, where there are dead and injured people. That is, in a day, the Russians released everything they have in their arsenal from heavy artillery on the city,” said Volodymyr Tymoshko.
The investigative and operative group of the Kharkiv District Police Department No. 3 worked on the spot. The circumstances and witnesses of the event are being established, primary materials are being collected.
Information on this fact has been entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations pursuant to Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years or life imprisonment.
