About this reported First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Japarova.
“The list of participants is updated literally every day. And I can already open the curtain a little. One of the participants will be the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. Her participation is a direct confirmation that the issue of the deoccupation of Crimea is high on the agenda in Washington,” she emphasized.
According to the diplomat, the participants of the summit will condemn Russia’s attempts to annex Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions.
She added that the representatives of all countries of the “Group of Seven” will also be present at the event online or offline. There will also be more than 40 delegations, 55 representatives of parliaments and interparliamentary assemblies, and more than 200 accredited journalists.
In addition, a meeting of the “Crimean Platform” Expert Network is planned.
“In this way, we completed the architecture of the Crimean Platform, which will now fully function at the governmental, parliamentary and expert levels. Thanks to the leadership of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Crimean Platform now unites 60 states and international organizations around the Ukrainian national interest – the complete de-occupation of the peninsula “, – concluded the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
- On August 23, at the “Crimean Platform” summit, a joint declaration was adopted on Ukraine’s confirmation of the readiness of the policy of non-recognition of the attempted annexation of Crimea until the moment of its deoccupation.
