NASA’s Juno mission was completing its 53rd close flyby of Jupiter and was able to image the planet along with its moon Io.

The spacecraft captured the most volcanically active world in the Solar System β Io.
It has hundreds of volcanoes that regularly erupt with molten lava and sulfurous gases. Scientists have obtained a new image of Io for the first time since 2007.
At the time Juno took the photo, it was more than 50,000 kilometers from Io and almost 245,000 kilometers from Jupiter.
