Ukrainian law enforcement officers called on citizens to be responsible and not to use pyrotechnic products during the New Year holidays. Currently, the use of fireworks and firecrackers is prohibited in many regions.

As stated by Facebook first deputy chief of the Patrol Police Department, Oleksiy Biloshitskyi, in most regions of Ukraine, regional military administrations have decided to ban the use of pyrotechnic products. Such a ban also applies in the capital.

“I think that in the coming days the ban will apply in all regions. There are even several articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses. But let’s be more responsible not only because of the law, but also because of respect for others. Many people can be very scared by these firecrackers or fireworks, as minimum. Not to mention everything else. Therefore, we will react accordingly,” Biloshitsky emphasized.

He also reminded that the New Year’s Eve curfew has not been canceled in any region. It operates in the same time frame as before.
