“Crimea is a sovereign territory of Ukraine. The issue on the agenda is the step-by-step demilitarization of the peninsula with its subsequent de-occupation,” Danilov said.
He noted that the goal of Ukraine is only complete de-occupation up to the borders of 1991, since any territorial compromise with the Kremlin is “a war postponed for the future.”
“It is today that we have a chance to break the backbone of the Russian ‘ear of clay feet’,” the NSDC secretary said.
Separately, he turned to the Crimean collaborators and traitors – according to Danilov, they can commute their sentence by providing valuable information to the Ukrainian defense forces about Russian military facilities and equipment on the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula.
