In Vovchansk, about 8,000 people were left without gas due to damage on the territory of the Russian Federation: the main gas pipeline that feeds Vovchansk has been connected to the Russian gas pipeline since the time of the USSR, reports Public.
The gas pipeline was damaged as a result of hostilities on the territory of Russia, and part of the residents of Vovchansk were left without gas. It happened on October 23, reports the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

According to Suspilne, part of the housing and boiler houses in Vovchansk have been connected to the Russian gas pipeline since Soviet times – about 16,000 people depend on it. Gas is supplied to the city through the Russian city of Shebekino. For more than 30 years of independence, no alternative branch was laid.
Officials of the Kharkiv region asked government officials to provide money for the construction of a new gas pipeline. In 2019, hundreds of millions of hryvnias were needed for this. Attempts have been made to solve the problem of gas supply in Vovchansk in recent years.
