The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that at the moment disconnections continue in most oblasts and in Kyiv, it is about more than 6 million subscribers.

“The key task of today, as well as others this week, is energy. From Wednesday to today, it was possible to halve the number of people whose electricity is cut off in order to stabilize the system. As of this evening, blackouts continue in most regions and in Kyiv. In total, more than six million subscribers,” the president said in the evening video messages.

Zelensky reminded that about 12 million subscribers were disconnected on Wednesday evening.

“But the biggest problems right now are in the capital, as well as in the Kyiv region, Odesa region, Lviv region, Vinnytsia region and Dnipropetrovsk region. Please, in all regions, you must, as before, consume electricity sparingly. If you do not have a blackout, this does not mean that that the problems have already been solved. If there is electricity, it does not mean that you can turn on several powerful electrical appliances at once. Every evening, consumption spikes are recorded, which cause an increase in emergency shutdowns. Now, as before, it is necessary to conserve energy,” said the head of state.

According to him, more than 600,000 subscribers are currently disconnected in Kyiv.

He also reminded that “Points of Invincibility” have also been deployed throughout the country.

“But I know that, unfortunately, the local government has not done a good job in all cities. In particular, there are many complaints in Kyiv… I expect better work from the mayor’s office,” added Zelenskyy.
