Putin told the president of Brazil the terms of negotiations with Ukraine

During a telephone conversation, Putin told Lula da Silva that Russia is allegedly ready for a dialogue with Ukraine, but “with the fulfillment by the Kyiv authorities of known Russian conditions and taking into account new realities.”

It is noted that the president of Brazil “spoke in favor of finding ways to resolve the conflict by political and diplomatic means.”

Putin and Lula da Silva also discussed the situation in the Middle East and called for the de-escalation of the crisis and the real advancement of the peace process “on a generally recognized international legal basis, which provides for the creation of an independent Palestinian state that will coexist peacefully with Israel.”

  • On October 9, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated that there are currently no prerequisites for negotiations with the Russian Federation, and any territorial concessions are impossible.
  • On October 22, Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security Council, emphasized that there will be no negotiations with Russia as long as it continues to occupy the territories of Ukraine.
