Threatening statements by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, including allusions to the use of nuclear weapons, will not affect US aid to Ukraine. This was stated by Pentagon Speaker Brigadier General Patrick Ryder, reports CNN.

“As for statements or announcements coming from Russia, they will not affect the Department of Defense’s commitment to continue working with our international partners and allies to provide Ukraine with the support it needs in the fight to defend its countries,” Ryder told reporters.
He noted that negotiations on the expansion of military assistance are ongoing, and they are talking not only about the medium and long term, but also about the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are needed right now.
“I don’t see these talks being affected by anyone’s statements,” Ryder said.
