Because we know very well that the countries of Europe have already pumped almost 80% of their gas into storage and are ready for winter. The supply of gas to Europe from Norway is also increasing and the supply of gas from Algeria begins. In addition, European countries are increasing the use of coal to meet their own needs. Of course, there will be problems. However, what is certain is that Europe will not freeze this winter,” Plachkov explained.
The ex-minister also emphasized that Putin’s energy blackmail is no longer working.
“There will definitely not be a disaster this winter. Europe has taken a course to get rid of dependence on Russian energy resources. There will be problems, but Putin’s intimidation is no longer working for Europeans,” he added.

- On September 2, the spokesperson of the European Commission stated that Gazprom is lying about the malfunction of the Nord Stream
- In an address on September 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the European Union to limit the price of Russian gas, following the example of how it was done with oil.
