The Mi-8 was in Estonian airspace for almost one minute.
The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador to protest the incident and hand him a diplomatic note about the violation.
“Estonia considers this an extremely serious and regrettable incident, which is completely unacceptable,” the ministry said.
The violation of Estonian airspace on Tuesday was the third this year, writes the Estonian edition. On the night of June 18, a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Russian border service violated Estonian airspace.
