Today, August 7, the Russian occupation forces shelled populated areas of the Donetsk region. Currently, it is known that as a result of the attacks, four civilians were killed and six were wounded by shrapnel.

It is noted that the occupying army launched attacks in Bakhmut, Opytny of Bakhmut District, Soledar and Selidovo of Pokrovsky District.

Shelling damaged many residential buildings, farm buildings, power lines and civil infrastructure facilities.

At the same time, as the deputy mayor of Bakhmut said Oleksandr Marchenkothe situation in the city is deteriorating due to constant shelling by the Russian army, but for now it remains under control.

“The situation is getting worse. More and more shelling. Three civilians were killed in the past day. Four houses burned down. In the morning there was shelling again. There is water supply. But due to the shelling, repair crews eliminate network surges every day.”– he noted.

Marchenko added that there is no electricity supply in part of the city. Due to constant shelling, repair crews cannot go to the place of damage.

According to the words of the deputy mayor, the shelling destroyed an enterprise that takes garbage to the landfill. At the moment, a replacement vehicle has already been prepared, as all the garbage cans in the city were completely full within a week.

“In general, there is no humanitarian catastrophe. But in stores, the price tags are quite high. The market, hospitals and pharmacies are working. We provide humanitarian aid”– added Marchenko.
