Shmygal and Zelenskaya honored the memory of Queen Elizabeth II in London: video – Ukrainian news, Politics

Prime minister Denis Shmyhal and first lady Elena Zelenskaya took part in the farewell ceremony for the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II. Shmygal announced this in Facebook.

“At the invitation of the British side, we arrived in London today to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and express condolences on behalf of the President, government and people of Ukraine,” he wrote.

According to Shmyhal, the Queen enjoyed great public respect and favor in the United Kingdom. She was also admired far beyond the borders of the Kingdom, including Ukraine.

“Most Ukrainians will remember Her Majesty because of a simple but important fact. She was the head of state, which was one of the first to lend a helping hand when Ukraine was faced with a barbaric Russian invasion. A state that is still doing everything possible to bring our victory closer” , the Prime Minister wrote.

“Grateful to the government of the United Kingdom. I have no doubt that King Charles III will build on the progress made by his mother. God save the King!” Shmyhal added.
