“On September 12, GUNP investigators in the Dnipropetrovsk region handed the defendant a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (resistance to a representative of the authorities, an employee of a law enforcement agency, etc.)”. – the message says.
Also, as part of the pre-trial investigation, investigative actions, forensic medical examination and other investigative measures continue to establish all the circumstances of the offense.
According to the results, additional qualification is possible, the police added.
It will be recalled that a fatal incident involving patrolmen took place in Dnipro on August 29. According to the investigation, a police officer shot a man who behaved aggressively after stopping a car for violating traffic rules.
The patrolman was detained as part of the investigation into the case of murder and abuse of authority. On August 31, the court ordered a preventive measure against the policeman. Police also showed video from patrol body cameras.
In Dnipro, criminal proceedings were opened on the fact of encroachment on the lives of patrol police officers. The SBI asked random witnesses to provide information and help the investigation.
