Andriy Demchenko commented on the situation in the regions on the northern border of Ukraine.
“The enemy does not stop its terrorist activities on the border territories of the north of Ukraine. Every day, the enemy conducts shelling, hits the houses of civilians. We have recorded the largest shelling in Sumy Oblast in recent times. I would like to note that in December 2022 alone, there were more than 200 shellings on the territories of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The enemy uses artillery, mortars, small arms, as well as rare cases of airstrikes. Since the beginning of January 2023, 30 shellings of Chernihiv Oblast and Sumy Oblast have been recorded,” said the spokesperson of the State Security Service.
Demchenko noted that the enemy has not stopped terrorist actions against Ukraine since the moment it was pushed beyond our border.
