Stoltenberg said that NATO plans to purchase ammunition for $2.5 billion – Ukrainian news, Politics


NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the Alliance has framework contracts worth $2.5 billion to replenish the reserves of member countries. This is what he’s talking about stated during a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

According to Stoltenberg, NATO has “comprehensive framework contracts with arms companies” worth 2.4 billion euros (about $2.53 billion) for ammunition.

He stressed that such contracts will allow NATO members to replenish their dwindling reserves, and will also continue to supply Ukraine with ammunition.

The NATO Secretary General added that the provision of ammunition is “a key factor in the war.”
