The Russian occupying army tried to advance in three directions, all enemy attacks were repulsed.
This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated September 4.
They said there were 22 combat clashes at the front during the day.
On the Kupyansk direction the enemy carried out an airstrike in the Budarki district of the Kharkiv region. More than 10 settlements were hit by artillery fire.
On the Lymansky direction the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the districts of Novoyehorivka and Belogorivka of the Luhansk region. He carried out airstrikes in the districts of Bilogorivka, Luhansk region, Yampolivka, and Spirnyi, Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut our defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the area north of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. The enemy carried out one air strike and shelled more than 15 settlements.
In the Avdiiv direction the enemy carried out an air strike in the Avdiivka area. Fired from artillery and mortars the settlements of Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Keramik, Avdiivka, Severnye, Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.
On the Marinsky direction The defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike in the Krasnohorivka area. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Ostro, Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
In the Zaporozhye direction the enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Malaya Tokmachka, Orihiv, Robotyny, Stepnohirsk of the Zaporizhzhia region, and in the Kherson direction the occupiers shelled Tyaginka and Molodizhne.
“At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, are entrenched at the achieved boundaries, and carry out counter-battery combat measures.” – it says in the summary.
During the day, the aviation of the defense forces made 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems, and rocket launchers and gunners hit 11 artillery pieces on firing positions and 4 enemy control points.
It will be recalled that the Russian troops lost approximately 460 servicemen in the last day. The total losses of the occupiers reached 265 thousand 120 people.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the successes of the Armed Forces in the Bakhmut and Melitopol directions.
