The Swedish government announced the allocation of 75 million Swedish kroner (6.52 million euros) to the UNESCO fund for the restoration and reconstruction of destroyed and damaged schools and kindergartens in Ukraine.

It is noted that funds from Sweden will be used to equip shelters in schools and kindergartens for their preparation for the winter period. It is also planned to establish a water supply and a toilet.
“UNESCO emphasizes the inclusiveness of the school space and strives for shelters to be accessible to children with disabilities, and for schoolchildren and preschoolers to receive psychological support.” – the message says.
According to the Swedish government, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 3,000 educational institutions have been damaged, and 360 have been completely destroyed.
