In the Bakhmut area, the Defense Forces defeated the 72nd, 83rd and 31st brigades of the Russian Army. About it reported Commander of the Ground Forces Alexander Syrsky.
According to him, fierce fighting continues near Bakhmut; after the liberation of Kleshcheevka and Andreevka, the Russians carry out numerous counterattacks from different directions, unsuccessfully trying to regain their positions.
He noted that the above-mentioned villages were important elements of the enemyβs defensive line from Bakhmut to Gorlovka.
βAs a result of the successful actions of our troops, the enemyβs defense line was broken, which he tried to close, throwing all available reserves into battle,β Syrsky said.
The general said that in the Bakhmut direction, some of the most trained units of the invaders were defeated and completely lost their combat capability – the 72nd separate motorized rifle brigade, the 31st and 83rd separate air assault brigades.
βOf course, we continue to move forward. This is just another step towards the complete liberation of our territories. To organize the implementation of our tasks, I held a working meeting with the brigade commanders who are in the area,β the military leader emphasized.
