The Ukrainian military destroyed the main bridges in the south of the country, which were used by the occupiers to transport ammunition and equipment. Now the enemy has great difficulties with logistics.
This was emphasized by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliia Humeniuk, during a briefing on September 4.
“The main bridges, which have been damaged and are the basis of the enemy’s transport and logistics routes, cannot be brought to full capacity”she said.
Humenyuk explained that currently the bridges cannot pass heavy equipment, weapons and ammunition transportation.
“They can now be used only for the transportation of personnel. But in most cases, the M-17 highway is still used.”– said the press secretary.
Humenyuk added that rail transport occasionally takes place across the Crimean bridge, but road routes are extremely difficult.
Highway M17 is a highway of international importance on the territory of Ukraine, Kherson – Dzhankoy – Feodosia – Kerch – the state border with the Russian Federation. It passes through the territory of Kherson region and Crimea.
