The Ukrainian military noted a decrease in the activity of the occupiers in the Avdiyivka area. However, the Russians do not stop the assaults.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Tavry region, Oleksandr Shtupun, on the air of the telethon.
«In the Avdiiv direction, the activity of the enemy has somewhat decreased, but he continues to advance. The enemy does not stop trying to take Avdiivka. Our soldiers are firmly holding the defense there“, he said.
By the way, in the past day, on October 20, the Russians launched a missile strike and struck four times with aircraft in the Tavry direction, in particular, they dropped guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also tried to restore the position in the Shakhtarsky and Zaporizhzhia directions. However, their attempts were unsuccessful.
It will be recalled that the analysts of the Institute for the Study of War reported that on October 20, Russian troops resumed offensive operations in the Avdiyivka region and slightly advanced.
At the same time, the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to destroy the invaders. The day before, operators of the 3rd regiment of the SSO discovered heavy machinery of the occupiers, which was moving in the direction of Avdiivka. With the help of available weapons, namely FPV drones, Javelin ATGMs, mortars, our soldiers quickly stopped the enemy.
