In the Kupyansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 3 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka, in the Lymansk direction – 4 attacks in the Makiivka area.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled all enemy attacks north of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka. In the Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 13 attacks by the occupiers in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region.

In turn, units of the missile forces hit 3 artillery pieces and 2 ammunition depots of the enemy.

As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.
During the day, 33 combat clashes took place in the main areas of the front, the operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In other areas, the situation is as follows:
- On Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, continues shelling of populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Grabovskoe, Sumy region. About 10 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar fire, including Senkivka, Chernihiv region; Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Kharkiv region.
- On Kupyansk direction more than 15 settlements, in particular, Kamianka, Dvorichana, Synkivka, Kislivka of the Kharkiv region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
- On Lyman direction more than 10 settlements were affected by artillery and mortar shelling, among them Nevske, Belogorivka of the Luhansk region and Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region.
- On Bakhmut direction more than 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, North of Donetsk region.
- On Avdiivskyi direction The defense forces repelled all enemy attacks in the Avdiyivka area of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Keramik, Avdiivka, Opytne, and Severne of Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar fire.
- On Maryinsky direction the enemy carried out an airstrike in the Kostyantynivka area of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements were under the artillery fire of the invaders, in particular, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.
- On Mining direction about 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vugledar, Prechistivka, Zolota Niva, and Urozhane of the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
- On Zaporozhye direction the occupiers carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Novodanilivka, Robotyne, Orihiv of the Zaporizhzhia region. About 25 settlements, in particular, Poltavka, Gulyaipole, Orihiv, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Mali Shcherbaki of Zaporizhzhya region were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
- On Kherson direction the Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike near Berislav. Kherson and Stanislav of the Kherson region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
- On the night and morning of October 8, the Russian occupiers made several attacks on populated areas of the Kherson region. 16 people, including a 9-month-old child, were injured in the shelling of residential areas.
