The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2024. Revenues are set at the level of 1 trillion 560 billion hryvnias, expenditures – 3 trillion 108 billion hryvnias.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“The key emphasis of this project is defense and security our country We direct more than half of all budget resources — 1 trillion 685 billion UAH. This amount is UAH 113 billion more than this year. There will be even more weapons and equipment. More drones, ammunition, missiles”he emphasized.
On social sphere 469 billion hryvnias will be sent – 25 billion more than in the current year.
Per sector education allocate UAH 179 billion (23 billion more), on medicine – UAH 202 billion (24 billion more).
On support for veterans in the 2024 budget project, twice as many funds were allocated – 6.8 billion hryvnias.
“The fifth priority is the restoration of our economy. No increase in taxes is foreseen. The government continues the preferential lending programs, the eRobota grant program, and support for Ukrainian startups. We are also launching new programs for industrial parks, for the implementation of investment projects, to support the Ukrainian manufacturer”Shmyhal added.
In addition, the 2024 budget provides for an increase minimum wage: from January 1 – 7,100 hryvnias, from April 1 – 8,000 hryvnias.
