The higher anti-corruption court appointed a part of the case of the former head of the State Border Guard Service Petro Tsyhykal on the embezzlement of UAH 10.68 million.

Such a decision was made by VAKS on October 31, “Word and Deed” reports.

To appoint a judicial review of the criminal proceedings regarding the accusation (Olexii Romanenko – ed.) of the commission of a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 28 part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code; (Olexandra Biguna – ed.) in the commission of a criminal offense provided for in Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 28 part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code in an open court session at the VAKS premises”the decision reads.

Earlier, VAKS separated the materials related to Tsygykal into a separate proceeding and suspended hearing the case, since he is mobilized.

Instead, DPSU received 53 apartments in the suburbs of Lviv, the total cost of which, according to the results of the examination, is UAH 10.68 million cheaper than real estate in Lviv.

Despite the contracts concluded with the DPSU, the construction company sold apartments in Lviv, which were actually supposed to go to border guards, third-party buyers. Therefore, she proposed a “replacement” scheme to the head of the State Security Service, who accepted the proposal. The investigation has evidence that DPSU officials acted in collusion with the director of the private company, realizing from the beginning its disadvantageous nature for the State Border Service.
