The police is ready to ensure the safety of citizens during the winter holidays. Law enforcement officers will also monitor compliance with all requirements of martial law, in particular, the curfew and the ban on pyrotechnics. About this To the public spokeswoman of the National Police of Ukraine Maryana Reva told on the air of the single telethon.
“First of all, people should remember that there is a curfew and that you can’t ignore air raid signals, regardless of what day it is – a holiday or a non-holiday. We understand how insidious our enemy is, who with cynical pleasure may try to spoil our holidays,” said Reva.
She explained that there are certain curfew requirements regardless of whether it is a holiday or a non-holiday. Police officers will check people, documents, deliver to police units to identify the person or to check this person.
“That is, people should understand what it can be and treat it with understanding. There is currently a war going on, and special security measures are being taken by the police. There are no exceptions – holiday or non-holiday,” said Reva.
She also emphasized that there are heating points in the police units and deployed mobile police stations.
“And if a person found himself on the street during the curfew and cannot return home or where he wanted to go in time, he can go to these points and stay there until the end of the curfew,” explained the spokeswoman of the National Police.
Reva also reminded that pyrotechnic devices – both their implementation and their use – are prohibited throughout the territory of Ukraine.
“Therefore, the police will respond to cases (sale or use – ed.). I appeal to people who have a certain intention to do this – do not do it. Think about the people who are psychologically struggling with the conditions of war, who may mistake the sounds of fireworks for the sounds of explosions,” Reva said.
The punishment depends on how the act will be qualified. It can be a fine, there can be corrective works, Reva said.
