The defenders of Mariupol were released from the captivity of the occupiers

Journalist Volodymyr Zolkin published a photo of Ukrainians released from captivity.

Among those released are the head of the Mariupol patrol police Mykhailo Vershinin and the defender of Azovstal Kateryna Polishchuk with the call sign “Bird”.

Journalist Andriy Tsaplienko reported that among those released is Dmytro Kozatsky (call sign “Orest”), a military officer of the “Azov” press service – the author of photos and videos from the Azovstal bunkers.

In a report to Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, reported the release of 215 Ukrainians, including 124 officers. Among those released are 108 soldiers of the “Azov” regiment, as well as employees of the National Guard, Ground Forces, Navy, police, State Border Service, SBU, transport and customs services.

Among those released, Yermak named the following Ukrainians: Denys (Radis) Prokopenko, Serhiy (Volyn) Volynskyi, Svyatoslav Palamar, Oleg Khomenko, Denys Shlega from the National Guard, Hero of Ukraine Yevgeny Bova, Maryana Mamonova.

“Today, at the request of our international partners, we returned 10 foreigners – defenders of Ukraine. They are representatives of the countries that help us the most – the USA, Great Britain, as well as such countries as Croatia and Sweden,” Yermak said.
