The Russian deputy also called on other municipal deputies to sign this petition.
“Municipal deputies from 18 different districts of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kolpino are demanding Putin’s resignation. The text of the petition is short, it does not “discredit” anyone. If you are a member of parliament and want to join, you are welcome,” Torström writes.
- We will remind, on September 7, the deputies of the municipal district in St. Petersburg appealed to the State Duma with a proposal to bring charges of treason against Putin – for the fact that he started the war with Ukraine, and as a result, he did bad things to Russia itself.
- A similar appeal was adopted by the council of deputies of the Lomonosov municipal district in Moscow on September 9. They turned to Vladimir Putin with a request to draw up the powers of the President of the Russian Federation.
- Almost all the deputies who voted for an appeal to the State Duma about Putin’s State Council were summoned to the police, where they were accused of “discrediting” the authorities.
