“Today, September 2, 2022, power unit No. 5 of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which was disconnected yesterday morning (September 1) as a result of another mortar shelling by the Russian occupying forces at the ZNPP site, was connected to the power grid at 1:10 p.m., and capacity is being added. Currently, two power units are operating at the station, which produce electricity for the needs of Ukraine.” – the message says.

Energoatom noted that there are no comments regarding the operation of equipment and safety systems.

We will remind, yesterday the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency came to the NPP. The head of the organization, Raphael Rossi, said that the experts managed to see “key things” in the first hours of the visit. Part of the delegation remains at the station.

The President’s Office expressed surprise at such a short visit. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that the occupiers are trying to make the IAEA visit useless and refuse to let independent journalists in.

The employee of the station told how the visit of experts actually took place.
