As the intelligence found out, groups of people in civilian clothes pass themselves off as FSB officers and conduct apartment-by-apartment searches in Moscow. Residents are asked whether there are Ukrainians living nearby, or whether someone is renting housing to Ukrainians. They also find out the attitude of citizens to the war.

“This is done in order to prevent the formation and spread of a negative attitude towards the war and to identify people who can influence the formation of independent public opinion about it”– said the GUR.

“Also, this campaign should form a negative image of Ukrainians – terrorists and radicals. In the future, it is they who can be accused of terrorist attacks organized by Russian special services on the territory of Russia.”the message says.

We will remind you that according to the survey of the Russian Levada Center, Russians are losing interest in the war in Ukraine, but are inclined to continue it.

Another survey showed that two-thirds of men in Russia are not ready to personally fight in Ukraine. In addition, the Russians do not want to materially help their army.
