Well-known longevity doctor Neil Polvin claims that lack of sleep leads not only to weakened immunity, but also to premature aging.

According to Polvin, poor quality sleep is the No. 1 mistake that causes people to age faster because quality sleep is the key to a healthy life. “When we sleep, the body restores itself. Sleeping for seven to eight hours a day helps to improve the health of cells and tissues, cognitive functions, immunity, energy levels and metabolism. Meanwhile, lack of sleep can cause a number of health problems , including high blood pressure, depression, obesity, stroke, diabetes and heart disease,” he writes.
