The mayor of Sumy, Alexander Lysenko, was released from arrest on bail of UAH 3 million. About it LIGA.net said the press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

HACS confirmed that the Sumy mayor was released on bail, having paid the 3 million UAH set for him by the court.

Previously, the court established a preventive measure for Lysenko in the form of detention with the possibility of bail of 3 million, despite the fact that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office demanded that the bail amount be set at 10 million UAH.

Before this, the city mayor was informed of suspicion of receiving illegal benefits in the amount of more than UAH 2.1 million.

He was detained on October 2, law enforcement officials said that he and the director of the Sumy Department of Infrastructure, Alexander Zhurba, were exposed for taking a bribe.
