It is noted that the legal service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine constantly takes measures to protect the interests of the state in courts in cases of improper fulfillment by counterparties of the terms of contracts for the supply of goods for the needs of the Armed Forces, in particular food kits for military personnel.
This time we are talking about a private company with which the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine concluded a contract for 3 weeks from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia – March 14, 2022, to provide the Kyiv garrison.
The company repeatedly violated the terms of the contract, as a result of which in December 2022, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine filed a lawsuit against the company for the collection of advance payment and fines in the total amount of 456,660 million UAH (430 million – the amount of the contract, 26,660 million – fine).

In February 2023, by decision of the Commercial Court of Kyiv, the Office of the Prosecutor General was involved in the case.
In May 2023, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the prosecutor’s office, decided to file a claim for annulment from the moment of concluding the additional agreement to the above-mentioned contract.
It is noted that yesterday, September 1, as a result of the coordinated work of the legal service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office, by the decision of the Economic Court of the city of Kyiv, the claims were satisfied, and the additional agreement was declared invalid.
The agency noted that the Ministry of Defense’s lawsuit against the company regarding the main contract will be considered on September 6. They also emphasized that the work on protecting the interests of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the courts continues.
Scandal with Reznikov
On August 10, it became known that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has allegedly signed a contract with a Turkish company for the supply of winter clothing for the military in the fall of 2022. In fact, “camouflage jackets” were sent to Ukraine, which on the way were rebranded as “winter windbreakers” – almost three times more expensive.
Already on August 25, it was reported that one of the owners of the Turkish company, which received $30 million for the scandalous purchase of light winter jackets for the Ukrainian military, turned out to be the nephew of a People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” faction.
Against the background of accusations of purchasing and supplying summer jackets instead of winter ones, Reznikov offered a pair to a deputy and a journalist. They reacted.
On August 26, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, stated that the Ministry of Defense purchased 180,000 winter jackets, which were handed over to the Armed Forces, last year.
According to the People’s Deputy, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov will leave his post and become ambassador to Great Britain. His place can be taken by the head of the State Property Fund, Rustem Umyerov
