About this reports Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kaisa Ollongren.
According to her, the aid to Ukraine includes 697 million euros for equipment, a military aid package of 120 million euros and a contribution of 100 million euros, which will be made to the International Fund for Ukraine.
At the same time, the Netherlands contributes 25 million euros to the NATO fund for military support of Ukraine. This fund is intended for payments for fuel, clothing and medicine.
According to Ollongren, the large amount shows “how important it is to help Ukraine so that it does not lose the war with Russia.” The head of the Ministry of Defense also noted that the end of this war is not yet in sight, and the Russian Federation continues to strike from the air on Ukrainian infrastructure and energy supply, even though it is winter.
- On December 9, it was reported that Norway will provide Ukraine with $100 million to restore war-damaged infrastructure. At the same time, it was reported that Estonia sent 11 more buses with generators and energy equipment to Ukraine. The Ministry of Energy also reported that France handed over 100 generators of medium power to Ukraine for the heating season.
- On December 10, the press service of the Council of the EU reported that the institution reached an agreement on a package of legislative acts that will allow providing financial assistance to Ukraine during 2023 in the amount of 18 billion euros.
