There are 330 shelters in the Kherson region where people can stay for a long time. They have 24-hour access.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of Kherson OVA, reported this, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
“In the Kherson region there are already 330 protective structures suitable for long-term stay of people, they are equipped with everything necessary: there are beds, chairs, food, water, electricity from generators, toilets. 24-hour access to these shelters”– said Prokudin.
According to him, work is also underway in six more storage facilities and 29 basic shelters in the region. Immediately after that, estimate documentation will be prepared for the equipment of another 20 such shelters.
“In addition, there are 198 street shelters in the region. They are installed in places of mass gathering of people. Another 10 shelters will be purchased in the near future with funds from the regional budget. We are also expecting 10 more protective structures during September from the Red Cross Society of Ukraine”– added the head of OVA.
We will remind you that shelters and “points of invincibility” will be checked in Ukraine before winter. It was also reported how many educational institutions in Kyiv are equipped with shelters.
