The occupying “authority” of the Kherson region calls on residents to leave the city immediately due to the “tense situation at the front”.

This was reported by the occupiers of the Kherson region in Telegram.

The Russian occupiers ordered the city’s residents to move to the left bank of the Dnieper today, October 22.

«Civilians of Kherson and all “units” and “ministries of civil administration” must cross to the left bank of the Dnieper today“, the message says.

According to the occupying “authorities”, this decision was made due to the tense situation at the front, the increased danger of massive shelling of the city and the threat of “terrorist attacks”. In particular, the occupiers reported the dispatch of river boats from Kherson to the city of Oleshki.

We will remind you that a significant part of the population has already left Kherson. The Russian occupiers remaining in the city change into civilian clothes and move into abandoned houses, preparing for street fighting.

Earlier in October, the commander of the Russian forces in Ukraine, Serhii Surovikin, announced the “difficult situation near Kherson” and the possible “difficult decisions”. British intelligence believes that Russia is seriously considering the possibility of retreating from Kherson.

Word and Deed analyzed what General Surovikin’s latest statements mean and what to expect from the occupiers in the Kherson region.
