Almost 1,451,603 consumers were left without electricity in Ukraine as a result of missile strikes by Russian troops on energy facilities on Saturday, October 22.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Office of the President, reported this in Telegram.

“Another daring attack by the occupiers on our infrastructure. The enemy continues to attack energy facilities in various regions of our country.”— noted the representative of the OPU.

According to Tymoshenko’s slovaks, as of 2 p.m., as a result of rocket strikes in Khmelnytskyi region, 672,000 subscribers were disconnected from power supply, in Mykolaiv region — 188,400, in Volyn region — 102,000, in Cherkasy — 242,000, in Rivne — 174 790 thousand, in Kirovohradska — 61 thousand 913, in Odesa — 10 thousand 500 subscribers.

Tymoshenko also told how many Russian missiles were destroyed by air defense forces.

“A total of 18 missiles were destroyed by air defense forces. Specialists immediately begin repair work on the affected areas”– emphasized the official.

We will remind that this morning a large-scale air alert was announced over Ukraine. Russia massively attacked Ukrainian cities with missiles. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Lviv regions and in Lutsk. In some regional centers, electricity and water have partially disappeared.

We previously reported that the scale of destruction from today’s strikes may exceed the consequences of the October 10-12 attack.

In Lutsk, during the attack, a private house was damaged by an explosive wave, one person received burns. Later, the occupiers launched a second missile attack on the Volyn region. Energy infrastructure facilities were again affected.

Later it became known that the Russians completely destroyed one of the energy facilities in Lutsk with rockets.

Let’s add that in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions, Russian troops hit four critical infrastructure facilities.

Currently, energy supply restrictions have already been forced in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kirovohrad regions.
