The process of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets has gained momentum and has moved from place to place.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, on the air of the telethon.
Β«A lot of questions are asked about where, in which country, how many pilots and how many planes we get. Unfortunately, we cannot answer these questions in such detail now“, the spokesman said.
He also added that not every country wants to detail the process taking place on its territory. However, Ignat assured that the process has really taken off very seriously, the pilots are studying and undergoing training. Meanwhile, the geography of the states that join the aviation coalition is increasing.
It will be recalled that The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Ukrainian military leadership expects that a small group of combat pilots will be ready to fly on F-16 fighter jets already at the beginning of February.
They also wrote that at the end of August, Volodymyr Zelenskyi named the number of F-16 fighter jets needed by Ukraine.
