Officials also stated that the counteroffensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region has, in fact, already ended, although three brigades probably crossed the Dnipro near Kherson. Although, according to them, it was unclear how many armored vehicles the Ukrainian military was able to cross the river.
“Despite success in crossing the river, officials said they expect Ukraine will likely be able to make only incremental progress one village at a time, at a similar pace to summer efforts south of Orichov and Velika Novosilka.” – notes the publication.
According to the sources, a protracted conflict is likely to follow, in which the long-term military assistance of Ukraine’s partners will be of decisive importance.
