“The enemy forcibly includes the religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Russian Orthodox Church. Those priests who refuse to cooperate with the enemy are replaced by seconded occupiers from the Russian Orthodox Church,” the message reads.
Representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church also hold positions in other church communities under occupation, for example, in captured churches of the OCU.
“Special attention is being paid to Mariupol,” the Central Committee noted.
They also noted the agent activities of priests in the temporarily occupied territories: they collect data on patriotic parishioners and clergy, and then pass this data on to the Russian special services.
